1985 BMW 325E

The never ending project that is this car

This is the never-ending project that is my 1985 BMW 3 Series. I picked it up in August 2023, and since then it’s been a constant cycle of maintenance, upgrades, and problem-solving. Over time, I’ve brought it to a point where it was reliable enough to daily drive—right up until April 2026.

The car has taken me all over California, including my first drive down Highway 1, trips to Yosemite, and even my first track day at Streets of Willow Springs—a Halloween night event with minimal lighting that made the experience even more surreal.

This project is less about reaching a finished state and more about the ongoing process. It’s the kind of car I plan to keep indefinitely, as there’s always something to improve, refine, or experiment with—whether that’s future engine work or performance upgrades.

More than anything, this car has become a platform for learning, hands-on problem solving, and connection. It’s introduced me to a community of people I wouldn’t have met otherwise and strengthened existing friendships along the way.
