About me

I am an Industrial Designer currently studying at California State University, Long Beach. My work is shaped by my background studying engineering, my experience working in manufacturing, and a lifelong habit of repairing my own products rather than replacing them. I developed a deep appreciation for the design process—especially the ingenuity required to build in serviceability and cost-effective production into a product. I’m particularly drawn to exploring new manufacturing methods and understanding how they can shape better, more thoughtful design solutions.

I’m rarely out of arms’ reach of a tool. In my free time, I enjoy working on my own and my friends’ vehicles, allowing us to explore more of California.  I’ve always thought American car culture is kind of a bittersweet tradeoff for not having trains.  I’ve spent the last 25 years camping, biking, and hiking all over the US.  Outside of design, I’ve explored a wide range of creative outlets, including photography, videography, sculpting, painting, cooking, and dance all of which continue to inform how I approach the design process.
